Home » Blog » General » Atos disabled assessment centre ‘inaccessible’

The Atos run centre is currently in a second floor office in Duke Street, Norwich. There is a lift, however, it cannot be used in case there is a fire meaning wheelchair users are unable to be assessed.

Atos is a French corporation who have been given a £100 million p.a. contract for assessing disabled people on benefits fitness to work. They have been criticised of being set-up to handle the coalition governments ‘dirty work’ with stories of Atos assessors being given targets for removing disabled people from the benefits.
