I have been using my Volker 3080 for about six years and I am so glad that I bought this bed. I am able to pull myself about using the split rail and I can get in and out off bed without assistance. I spend most of my time on the bed as it is so comfortable and so adjustable. I can do needlework use the computer etc. There is no comparison between my previous bed and the Volker 3080. Side Rail Options

This bed is available with:

  • standard height split / assist side rails
  • extended height split / assist side rails (for safety with deeper mattresses)

Split / assist side rails can mean the difference between needing assistance getting into or out of bed without help or requiring the help of a carer. Split / assist side rails make transferring from a wheelchair to the bed much easier. Being part of the bed and constructed from hardwood and metal, they are built to remain stable and offer a more rigid & secure feel than a typical bed leaver or bed rail which slides under the mattress. And when not in use, they can be folded away.
