It works by way of providing a subtle stimulation to the capillaries, which improves blood flow and helps sensitive skin tissues recover from the stresses that travel and wheelchair use can cause.
It is incredibly comfortable and its therapeutic massage has been used to alleviate a variety of conditions including insomnia and neurological pain.
The system is supplied in a small bag and is easily rolled out onto the source mattress as a thin overlay. In addition to being suitable for travel to hotels, cruises or apartments, its portability means it is highly suited for community usage.
As with all air mattresses, this mattress must be treated as an aid to assist in the managed prevention of pressure ulcers and used in conjunction with good clinical practice.
