Protective padding can be used on each type of side rail configuration and can provide protection from users with any type of involuntary movement. The padding is soft to the touch, durable and easy to clean.

Padding on full length side rails can be left on permanently even when the rails are raised and lowered.

The padding on the Volker 3080 consists of 4 components, one for each rail, & fit over in an envelope fashion. The padding must be removed when the side rails are folded away.

If there is a need for the central gap to be bridged on two-part side rail arrangements, a 'snap in spacer' can be added, ensuring maximum safety for the user, whilst still allowing the side rails free to maintain continuous adjustment.
