The wheels on the Volker 2080 & 3080 are retracted inside the hollow legs when stationary. When the bed requires moving, the wheels extend, lifting the bed from its legs onto it's wheels.

Electronic Braking
One of the benefits of the Volker care beds is their stunning aesthetic appearance.
This is partly down to no visible castors which are sometimes responsible for a more institutional look.
As a safety feature, the wheels will only extend with the bed in it's lowest position.
Finger Tip Control
The wheels on the Volker 2080 & 3080 are extended & retracted from a simple button press on the handset, controlling low voltage motors.
